Communication is the key
Communication is the key! No doubt it. Please note it is communication and not English that we are emphasizing here. People normally confuse communication with English language skills. Actually, English is synonymous to communication, Here communication does not mean only verbal, it means written too. For one to be more employable, he/she needs to be at least at an intermediate level, if not an expert in communication. There are various online assessments that once can take to evaluate their communication skills. Based on research that has been conducted across industries, it has been observed that the lack of communication skills and it's one of the major reason for rejection in most interviews.
